Ok, I have to admit I'm partial to the way Wind Tiki makes their food and it's probably because I've been going there since they opened. We've tried other Asian restaurants throughout Worcester County and they just don't taste as good to us.
When Wind Tiki opened back in the day it was really nice inside. They always had white tablecloths on all the tables and green cloth napkins tucked into the tea cups. There was a fountain that ran from the ceiling right in the middle of the back dining room and a huge plant in the middle of the front dining room that reached up to a glass dome. Many years later and there's a half ass fountain and the glass dome has been blocked out. No more tablecloths and napkins...heck they don't even give you tea unless you ask! Everything else is exactly the same. The same wallpaper and decor ( except you can see the dirty outlines of decor that's missing from the walls). The same lime green seats (and the springs have been long gone) that have tape covering the rips.
But, the food is still really good and I have such good memories of all our important family celebrations taking place here that we'll keep coming back!!! -

I frequented this place back in the 1970s and 80s, when it was really hopping and the food was always very good. Stopping in recently was very nostalgic, although the lack of cars in the parking lot should have been a warning. We were greeted and seated immediately. The service was quite good - friendly and fast. The interior of the restaurant was like walking back thru time! It's rather pretty, with the unusual green upholstery, mirrored walls, black ceiling and bamboo light fixtures. The fountain remains in the center of the main dining room.
We decided to share a Pu Pu Platter, since it was lunchtime and we'd eaten a good breakfast. It was delivered quickly and with great presentation: Hearty servings and the fire in the center, just like old times. Sadly, this was where the similarities ended. The food was not great. Some of it wasn't even that good. The chicken wings were large and appeared to be roasted just right, but there was way too much oriental spice used, giving them a funky taste that neither of us found palatable. The Crab Rangoon was okay. The Chicken Fingers were decent and I was pleased to find they actually contained enough chicken to earn the name. (Many Chinese restaurants serve scant pieces of chicken surrounded by huge amounts of batter.) The Fried Shrimp fell into this trap, being all batter around a very small shrimp, and they had no flavor. My date reported that the Spare Ribs and Beef Teriaki were pretty good, it I didn't try them (not a meat eater). The egg rolls were enormous and looked good, but neither of us tried them.
All in all, it was nostalgic but disappointing. This ain't your Mama's Wind Tiki.... -

This is the HIT or MISS capital. You can go here and everything will be great. Go another time and order the same thing and it will be lousy..plain and simple. Last night i got spare ribs on the bone. They were terrible...clearly leftovers, or recyled from another customers plate, reheated and dried up in the process. Place is Dirty, original carpeting from the 70's, cobwebs hanging. See for yourself. Hope you go on a HIT day.
